VideoCentric has reportedly picked up the top service award from Polycom, a key provider of telepresence, video and voice solutions.
Thames Valley, England-based VideoCentric, one of the main resellers and integrators of Polycom (News - Alert), has been honored for its contribution to the maintenance and support services in the U.K.
The award was given after evaluating more than 200 resellers across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The competition was sponsored by Pleasanton, Calif.-based Polycom and carried out by Europe’s biggest trade distributor, Imago Group, in the first quarter of 2009.
Kate Callaway, who presented the award to VideoCentric on behalf of Polycom and Imago, said: “To build its number one world ranking, Polycom has built a global distribution network which is dependent upon the technical excellence and customer care offered to customers by accredited resellers in each country. VideoCentric in the U.K. has demonstrated that it does not only focus on sales to new customers, but it is able to build loyalty and repeat business amongst customers it has worked with for many years.”
“The expansion of VideoCentric’s interoperability facilities, the improvement of our fault logging systems and the increase in our staffing levels and HD demonstration systems for 2009-2010 further illustrates VideoCentric’s dedication to the growth and support of video conferencing, streaming and telepresence solutions over the next few years,” added David Shimell, sales director of VideoCentric.
Earlier this year, TMCnet reported that VideoCentric became the first reseller in the U.K. to demonstrate Polycom’s latest videoconferencing systems – the Full HD 8006 and the High Resolution QDX6000. VideoCentric’s new demonstration suite incorporate both models such that its customers can compare each with other standard and high definition systems from Polycom
“This is a culmination of many years hard work by our service and support teams because the top award was specifically for the renewals we achieved from satisfied customers,” added Craig Brown, technical director of VideoCentric.
VideoCentric also resells products from Polycom, Tandberg, Emblaze-VCON, Lifesize, Aethra, RADVision, Codian (News - Alert), SONY and Canon.
