After extending its reach throughout Europe and North America in recent years, Voiceserve Inc. is now looking toward Asia to promote its Voipswitch Softwitch solutions in the region.

The London-based applications development company recently participated in CommunicAsia, a global event where the business of technology comes to life in an effort to meet executives throughout Asia whom had already purchased Voipswitch and were introduced to some new releases.

The event also provided an opportunity to network and discuss business deals with high quality potential new clientele.

Chris Oglaza, chief technical officer at Voiceserve, told TMCnet in an interview that the company was encouraged by the positive feedback and the sheer number of quality of visitors at the Voiceserve booth.

"CommunicAsia2009 is clearly the most important platform in the Asia Pacific region for the industry to launch products, make announcements and network,” Oglaza said.

Voiceserve’s VoipSwitch is a custom modular all-in-one VoIP management platform licensing solution for resellers delivering VoIP airtime minutes bundled with features including virtual numbers, direct dial, Web callback, call forwarding, IP-PBX (News - Alert)  and mobile softphone technology. Voiceserve recently won an 2009 NGN Leadership Award from NGN Magazine, a TMC publication.

Michael Bibelman, chief executive officer at Voiceserve, called CommunicAsia (News - Alert) a “flagship event” in Asia for the industry, “and with our membership increasing across the region I'm delighted that we could unveil our latest mobile dialers during the show."

Of particular interest for Voiceserve, as well as attendees, is the Voipswitch “Vippie Mobile SIP Softphone.”

The advent of EDGE, 3G and WiFi (News - Alert) technology has brought with it increasing innovation in the mobile telecom space. And softphones are playing an increasingly important role in these innovations as companies look to streamline cost reducing technologies.

The Voipswitch “Vippie Mobile SIP Softphone” from Voiceserve, which this week was presented a 2009 TMC (News - Alert) Labs Innovation Award by Unified Communications magazine, is one device ideally suited for communication via either GPRS, EDGE, 3G or WiFi connection. With its multi functional characteristics customers are moving toward it as an alternative to the standard GSM.

"The Vippie Mobile, allows operators to cost-effectively extend their services to new areas, creating greater revenue opportunities,” said Bibelman. “The sophisticated dialer means more possibilities of communicating within the Voipswitch framework, resulting in more efficient ways of globally connecting."

The Vippie Mobile dialer is designed to creates new revenue opportunities for service providers by extending services to private customers and multi-tier corporations. With the mobile dialer, service providers have the best of both worlds - VoIP efficiency combined with mobile phone connectivity, according to Bibleman.

These translate into a competitive high-performance solution with a low cost of communication.
