In a release, Ton Ruijgrok of TEP UK, said, "TEP UK creates vast amounts of information which needs to be maintained for the long term. Given the volume, complexity and nature of the data we have, it is not optimal for us to do this in-house. By continuing to work with Iron Mountain and entering into this ten-year agreement, our information is preserved in line with our requirements, and is available to the community when needed."

TEP UK will be able to handle their information for conformity and sustainability intentions with

Iron Mountain help in this extremely controlled industry. Similarly, Iron Mountain will aid TEP UK to dispense the needed information.

An aggressive tender process was incorporated by TEP UK for selecting an economically viable information management partner, before finalizing on Iron Mountain.

Phil Greenwood, Director of Iron Mountain, said, "The management of information goes far beyond document management and document archiving for compliance purposes, particularly in the oil and gas industry. For example, the samples we store on behalf of TEP UK are used by them to decide where to direct their exploration and drilling efforts. This is why they invest in specialized facilities and services like ours which provide inspection rooms for core and sample analysis, and geological expertise to assist with the preparation, handling and preservation."
