Outsourcing Deals for Nokia Siemens Networks

Orange is outsourcing its mobile network operations in the UK to Nokia Siemens (News - Alert) Networks (NSN).
NSN will provide a range of services for the Orange UK 2G/3G mobile network for the next five years. The objective is to deliver improved quality of service and enhanced coverage for the 15.9 million mobile subscribers. The deal involves 470 staff transferring from Orange UK. Around 230 will join NSN and the remainder will go to a first line maintenance sub-contractor.

In Spain, Orange has given NSN a services contract to manage the operator’s fixed and mobile multivendor networks that cater to more than 11.3 million mobile customers and 1.2 million broadband Internet customers.
