SkyLink, a Russian CDMA operator that offers high-speed mobile Internet access and voice communication, has reportedly Flash Networks’ Harmony Web and Media Optimization solution to enhance  the customer experience and lower the costs of network optimization.

The company has already been using Flash Networks’ (News - Alert) Harmony Traffic Management solution for offering faster and smoother network browsing and reduced network load and now they installed an upgraded version.

Both the Traffic Management and Web and Media Optimization solution are part of Harmony Mobile Internet Services Gateway (News - Alert), a unified solution that empowers mobile Internet QoE and harmonizes core data infrastructure. Operators deploying this gateway will be able to streamline their mobile Internet infrastructure and realize high levels of usage.

Operators can install the Web and Media Optimization solution at critical junctures in the network to analyze mobile internet traffic and the solution is capable of applying data optimization techniques based on information about subscribers, tariff plans, devices, network bearers, and real-time network conditions.

SkyLink has acknowledged that Flash Networks’ solutions have provided them with an advanced, unified, policy-based solution, which enabled them to increase subscriber satisfaction while making the most of their existing capacity.
