Borusan Telekom (News - Alert), one of Turkey’s providers of telecom services, has selected Veraz’s I-Gate 4000 EDGE SIP Gateway (News - Alert) to support its enterprise VoIP services.

After a thorough selection process, Borusan selected Veraz’s I-Gate 4000 EDGE SIP Gateway for its comprehensive features and flexible, software-only upgrade.

“The I-Gate 4000 EGDE SIP Gateway provides the advanced features we are looking for in a compact, highly-reliable and easy to manage platform,” Mehmet Baser, CEO of Borusan Telekom, said, adding that Veraz demonstrated its commitment to the Turkish market and the company looks forward to continuing to work with them.

To provide Borusan Telekom strong local service and support, Veraz has partnered with Elkotek, a telecom VAR in Turkey.

“Borusan Telekom continues to lead the Turkish telecom market in developing and offering advanced services,” Hakan Tahiroglu, general manager Elkotek, said, adding that the company is pleased to support Borusan Telekom in this effort with the strong local sales and support teams as they deploy the I-Gate 4000 EDGE SIP Gateway.

“As Borusan Telekom continues to provide the most advanced enterprise services to the Turkish telecom market, it can grow cost-effectively with the Veraz I-Gate 4000 EDGE SIP Gateway without the need to invest in additional hardware for upgrades,” Daniel Skinazy, vice president sales, EMEA, Veraz, said.

Veraz Networks (News - Alert), Inc. is a provider of application, control, and bandwidth optimization products that enable the evolution to the Multimedia Generation Network, or “MGN.”

According to company officials, Veraz makes it possible for fixed and mobile service providers to create, manage and transport application sessions cost-effectively and securely across TDM and IP networks.

Back in October Veraz Networks was selected by Jamii Telecommunication Ltd., a provider of communication solutions in Kenya and East Africa, for its ControlSwitch platform to enable optimized routing and improved network management without having to rely on other providers in Africa.
