COLT Picks SuccessFactors Performance and Talent Management Suite

SuccessFactors Inc. specializing in business execution software, has announced that COLT has deployed its Performance and Talent Management suite for supporting its business strategy in the expansion of managed services and new markets.
COLT (News - Alert) provides business communication solutions in Europe and will be using SuccessFactors to deploy a competency framework which aligns and engages its internal talent to improve organizational performance and growth.
According to a press release, SuccessFactors’ software will be deployed to the 4,500 employees in Europe and India.
Providing business communications and managed services to major businesses, SMEs and wholesale customers, COLT operates in 13 countries. It owns a 25,000 km network that encompasses metropolitan area networks, direct fiber connections and data centers in several European cities.
“SuccessFactors represented the most integrated, functionally rich and user-friendly solution,” commented Heather Sawyer, director of people and change at COLT, in the release.
“As we are moving aggressively into the managed services space, we need to increase our focus on skills and talent. We also want to ensure that every employee feels personally connected to our corporate strategy with individual goals that are clearly aligned. In looking for a new solution, we also wanted to make a step change to our people processes ready for the new performance year, 2010,” added Sawyer.
Managers and employees will be able to take ownership of talent management which will improve the quality and speed of processes and enhance the productivity of conversations and create more transparent opportunities. This will enable the organization to achieve corporate goals by individually engaging employees.
SucessFactors solution will be deployed in Europe and India by the end of this year and will be functioning from January 1. COLT employees can view the solution in English, French, Spanish or German, which will ensure full engagement and support in cross country management and reporting.
SuccessFactors’s cloud-based Business Execution Software suite allows companies to execute action plans to achieve strategic goals. The Business Execution or BizX Software suite helps C-level and human resources professionals to connect the performance of their people directly to the company’s business goals enabling easy execution.
In the release, Lars Dalgaard CEO of SuccessFactors said it is imperative to have the right skills and service levels at a global level to support entry into new markets especially in the present environment of managed services and telecommunications. He pointed out that COLT is striving to proactively mobilize and align its internal talent to achieve its external objectives.
