Communology, a specialist in mobile communications client software, reportedly has signed a patent license agreement with U.S. patent and technology company Klausner Technologies.

According to Communology (News - Alert) officials, the agreement allows the company to provide European wireless operators not only with visual voicemail software clients and technical implementation, but also with an inclusive patent license under the Klausner EU Visual Voicemail patents.

Officials pointed out that visual voicemail has revolutionized the way people handle their voicemail.

With Communology’s new “One-Stop VVM”, mobile communications companies will now be able to quickly and efficiently enhance their voicemail offerings for the premium-customer segment as well as across the entire product line.

Klausner Technologies (News - Alert) currently has 24 visual voicemail patent licensees worldwide, including major international mobile operators such as Deutsche Telekom, which just now is unveiling its VVM services.

Company officials said that the “One-Stop VVM” deal between Communology and Klausner Technologies offers mobile communications companies a number of important advantages.

Thanks to this, they will now be able to implement individually branded, user-friendly Visual Voicemail services from one source, enabling them to significantly reduce time to market.

“I am convinced that with Communology, we have found a partner able to expedite the market penetration of Visual Voicemail in Europe. Communology has already gained an excellent reputation as a quality driven leader in application development,” said Judah Klausner, CEO of Klausner Technologies, in a statement.

Klausner said that with its various products and projects, the company has proven that it is able to fully satisfy the robust demands required by mobile communications companies with respect to their consumer applications.

“In the past few months, we have been experiencing a surge of interest for VVM in the mobile communications industry. Now that we have the opportunity to offer our clients and professional services in a single package with the VVM patent user licenses, we will dramatically simplify the implementation and ease to market”, said Thomas Kähler, CEO at Communology.

Kähler said that mobile communications companies can now offer this popular value-added service much more quickly.
