Redknee Signs Multi-Million Dollar Contract with SP in EMEA

Redknee, a global provider of business-critical software and solutions for communications service providers, has said that a communications service provider in the EMEA region has signed a multi-million dollar contract for its Turnkey Converged Billing solution.


 
Without disclosing the name of the communications service provider, Redknee (News - Alert) officials said that this solution would help the operator to manage its wireless, fixed, and broadband services with a complete converged billing solution, providing a seamless triple-play experience to its subscribers.
 
It is anticipated that more than half of the revenue from this contract win will be recognized in fiscal 2009.
 
The company officials said that by consolidating its billing and customer relationship management systems onto one converged platform, the operator is able to provide a unified experience to multi-service subscribers, enable cross service bundles and promotions, as well as facilitate simpler payment options.
 
Officials claimed that through a unified CRM solution, significant improvements can be made in the subscriber service experience, allowing the operator to fulfill its mission of providing the best customer experience to their consumer and corporate subscribers.
 
“We are proud to announce this strategic contract. It further validates our product platform, and demonstrates our continued ability to gain market share in the converged billing space.” said Lucas Skoczkowski (News - Alert), CEO at Redknee.
 
Skoczkowski said that the company believes that by addressing billing requirements of the growing list of multi-play service providers, Redknee significantly expands its future market opportunities globally.”
 
Redknee in May had announced that VivaCell-MTS, the mobile operator in Armenia, has launched Redknee’s Airtime Reseller; a service that enables voucherless, airtime top-up for its pre-paid customers.
 
In high-growth markets such as Armenia, voucherless airtime top-up enables operators to provide flexibility to its subscribers and reduce voucher distribution costs.
 
The deployment of Redknee’s Airtime Reseller will enable VivaCell-MTS (News - Alert) to provide its resellers with the ability to trade over the wireless network with subscribers, providing sellable airtime that is purchased on the mobile handset, eliminating the need for retail vouchers or physical top-up cards.
