EastNets Remittance has announced its partnership with Qtel (News - Alert), a leading international communications company headquarted in Qatar. With this partnership, service coverage will expand to include Nepal.

Now that Nepal is part of the en.MoRes network coverage, customers will be able to utilize Qtel’s Mobile Money facility to transfer money to Nepal, which will benefit more than 200,000 Nepalese residing in Qatar. This money transfer facility offers an easy, safe and convenient method to facilitate the transfer funds to Himalayan Bank, 24/7.  

The Bank itself provides instant connection to 2400 payment networks and a/c credit to 32 major commercial banks within Nepal’s borders.

Himalayan Bank was established in 1993 and has since become the first and only bank in Nepal to be certified for SWIFTRemit. In fact, the bank has the largest remmitance payment network in Nepal. 

Money transferred via the en.MoRes network will be paid through the HimalRemit sysem in Nepal.

Hazem Mulham, CEO at EastNets Group, said the company’s mission is to provide convenient, accessible, affordable and secure mobile financial services. In relevance to the en.MoRes launch in Nepal, he added that they are fully committed to expanding the scope of their services to allow more people to enjoy the true benefits and advantages of the en.MoRes technology platform.

en.MoRes uses the SWIFT worldwide financial messaging network to globally connect more than 10,000 banks. It was certified for SWIFTRemit in 2011 and is licensed as a recognized Small Payment Institution by the Financial Services Authority.

It is rumored that en.MoRes will be launching a new online remittance service to provide a multichannel platform that would support P2P services, reportedly based on an innovative e.MoRes technological solution.

Presently, there is no word as to when this launch may occur.
