TelecityGroup Netherlands recently announced that it has been selected by US-based Justin.tv to be its colocation provider in Europe. Already serving over 31 million users a month, Justin.tv will further expand its services in Europe with this deal. Justin.tv will be also able to maximize European service levels for its fast-growing video game broadcasting and chat community, TwitchTV.
In a release, Jonathan Shipman, Operations Director at Justin.tv, said, "The combination of network uptime and low latency are critical for the streaming video and online gaming services we provide. We selected TelecityGroup in the Netherlands due to its ability to provide carrier-neutral and highly diverse connectivity along with an extremely resilient and secure environment. TelecityGroup is the ideal partner to ensure TwitchTV can deliver a high quality of service to our users in the European market."
One of TelecityGroup's premium Amsterdam data centers will be used by Justin.tv to host its mission-critical infrastructure.
