The Mobile Broadband Price Benchmarking service from Strategy Analytics (News - Alert) has carried out an analysis of European Mobile Broadband Tariffs. A report titled, “Mobile Broadband Usage Expectation” reveals all the expected usage levels. The report has indicated widely different levels of usage in different markets.
Some regional differences have been seen in mobile broadband tariffs for laptops and tablets. Differences have been noted among the average levels of data allowances offered by the operators. Users in France, Spain, Portugal and the BeNeLux countries have the lowest apparent usage expectations. A much higher mobile broadband traffic demand is expected by operators in Nordic countries along with Poland, Ireland and Austria.
In a release, Halvor Sannaes who is the author of the report at Strategy Analytics said, “Even though operators do not publish actual Mobile Broadband usage data, tariff structure appears to indicate the kinds of usage that operators expect from their customer base.”
