Siklu Communication, expert in mobile wireless backhaul market, has been nominated as a finalist for the MEF (News - Alert) & IIR Best Carrier Ethernet Mobile Backhaul Product EMEA 2011 award. The company received the nomination in recognition of its efforts to enable low cost Gigabit speed delivery by its EtherHaul millimeter wave radio while displaying full carrier Ethernet networking functionalities in an outdoor and low power unit.

Winners for the MEF & IIR award will be announced on Wednesday October 12th at the Carrier Ethernet World Congress 2011 which will be held in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Siklu will display its EtherHaul solution at stand 15 at the conference.

Further enhancing its offerings, Siklu successfully provided full carrier Ethernet capabilities and features which were standard compliant. The radio built to function in an out-door environment is light weight, has a compact size and displays low power consumption and because of its full carrier Ethernet capabilities, the need to run an additional device is eliminated. With these functionalities, Siklu has successfully developed a cost-effective and low TCO backhaul offering, capable of providing site acquisition and faster deployment.
