FaxCore Exec Talks about Fax over IP at ITEXPO

As the telecom industry prepares for next week’s INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference and EXPO East 2010 in Miami next week, companies like fax server application provider FaxCore will be on hand to talk up the latest and greatest in the fax over IP industry.
Specifically, FaxCore (News - Alert) officials will exhibit in booth 621 on the show floor and display various FaxCore 2007 software options and bundles. In addition, the company will participate in a session, called “Integrating Fax into Your Enterprise UC Experience,” which will take place Jan. 21 at 3 p.m. During the session, Max Schroeder, senior vice president of FaxCore, will join a panel of fax over IP vendors and explain why fax remains an important part of a true UC deployment and how it can be easily integrated into IP systems.
I recently had the opportunity to pose some questions to Schroeder about FaxCore’s participation at ITEXPO (News - Alert). Our exchange follows.
TMCnet: I understand FaxCore is exhibiting at ITEXPO again? What’s the reason?
Max Schroeder:FaxCore has been participating at ITEXPO going back to 2005. ITEXPO has always had a great mix of qualified end-user prospects and resellers. FaxCore partners like Sharp Business Systems, which will have staff at our booth, also like the event. ITEXPO Miami has consistently been a strong draw for the Latin American market which is very important to our company’s global marketing plan. The 2009 event had a lot of floor traffic, which was fantastic, and we are looking forward to an exciting show in 2010.
TMCnet: What will FaxCore be displaying at its booth?
MS: FaxCore will be focused on presenting the various FaxCore 2007 software options and bundles. TMC has recognized FaxCore’s Mini-appliance and FoIPBOX appliance bundles with Internet Telephony Magazine (News - Alert) and Unified Communications Product of the Year Awards. At ITEXPO 2009 West in Los Angeles, FaxCore introduced our FoIPBOX II product line, which is a very exciting addition to our product line.
TMCnet: Why is it important to have a presence at ITEXPO?
MS: We feel that ITEXPO is the best forum for us to present our products and meet both customers and prospective customers. The TMC staff has always spotlighted ways to make the event attractive to both end-users and resellers which are our target markets. Although our products are all fax server solutions, we are closely tied to the voice, unified communications and next-generation networks markets and our products are designed to integrate with these technologies. We partner with companies like Avaya, Cisco (News - Alert), Dialogic and others in the VoIP and unified communications and TMC offers the best show and advertising access the markets these companies target. Frankly, from the FaxCore perspective, ITEXPO is the place to be.
TMCnet: You are speaking at a session called, “Integrating Fax into Your Enterprise UC Experience.” Why is fax important today?
MS: Fax is a communications solution component. Many times people forget just what communications are there for in the first place – they are there to facilitate doing business and making a profit. Today’s market is difficult and organizations are looking for ways to make their companies more efficient, profitable and green. By integrating fax into the UC experience, you can help to achieve all of these goals. For markets like healthcare, financial services, insurance and legal services fax is indispensible due to regulatory and legal constrictions. So why not capitalize on 21st century technology to ensure that your organization is in compliance with a cost effective solution?
TMCnet: What do you want attendees to take away from your session?
MS: I am sure that Paula Bernier (News - Alert), TMC executive editor and panel moderator, and the other panelists will all agree that we panelists want to have the attendees leave the session with a better appreciation on how UC can greatly enhance their operations.
