Day1 Solutions and Zayo Group Team up to Deliver Direct Connectivity to the Cloud


MCLEAN, Va. & BOULDER, Colo. --(Business Wire)--

Day1 Solutions, the cloud services and solutions expert, and Zayo Group Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:ZAYO), an international provider of Bandwidth (News - Alert) Infrastructure services, have signed an agreement to deliver private connectivity between enterprise customer data centers and Amazon Web Services (AWS) worldwide. The agreement was announced today in Las Vegas at AWS re:Invent, the annual AWS Partner Network cloud computing conference.

Day1 Solutions will offer Zayo private connectivity to AWS customers through its Day1 Connect managed service solution. Day1 Connect is a turnkey, pre-packaged, managed service that delivers an end-to-end, private and secure connection from AWS into the customer data center. Day1 Connect leverages dedicated network connections offered by data center and telecom partners, like Zayo, to deliver a complete solution that can reduce network costs, increase bandwidth throughput, and provide a more consistent network experience than Internet-based connections.

Zayo's Connect to the Cloud Platform enables private connectivity to more than 24 cloud providers, including AWS. By leveraging Zayo's 81,000 route mile fiber-optic network to access the cloud, customers gain access to reliable, secure, high-bandwidth connectivity that improves cloud experience. Customers can use Tranzact, Zayo's innovative shopping platform, to access the Connect to the Cloud Platform. Tranzact enables customers to access pricing, place orders, and view existing and pending services through an intuitive web application.
