Orange, partner of the Women's Forum 2014

(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 19 October 2014 Release date- 15102014 - Paris - Orange is proud to be a partner of the Women's Forum for the 10th consecutive year.

Held in Deauville from October 15th to 17th 2014, this year the Women's Forum proposes to take its participants 'towards a more equitable world', the theme of this 10th edition.

towards a more equitable worldThe 10th edition of the Women's Forum Global Meeting offers an opportunity to take a larger view and reflect on the gap existing in 2014 between men and women in the areas of health, education, employment and entrepreneurship. Orange, which adopted a global policy on equal opportunities several years ago and has made significant progress, talks about best practices in the business world at each edition of the Women's Forum.

Beyond its internal policy, Orange helps to reduce inequalities in countries in which the Group is present by offering better access to new technologies, which have become a fundamental need for all peoples in recent years.

digital technology at the Women's ForumThroughout the Women's Forum, Orange is providing its digital expertise at its Further Together corner and in Discovery Hall.

Through one-on-one and group training sessions, digital experts from Orange and the Women's Forum will help participants understand the professional and personal advantages inherent in social networks and show them how to turn them into effective tools for communicating with their audiences.

Orange is equipping the venue with a comprehensive system of NFC tags (contactless mobile) and QR codes so that participants can access services offered by the Women's Forum. For example, after each Forum session, participants can easily download the complete content of discussions and speeches with their smartphones.

Orange is launching a Social Wall to monitor the resonance of the Women's Forum live on the social networks. An interactive map of the world highlights Twitter, Vine and Instagram messages from social networkers with #WF2014. The most viral interactions and their contributors will be highlighted. The Social Wall will display key facts and figures on the status of women.

The Social Wall is broadcast on giant screens during the event and on the Orange and Women's Forum websites.

Orange is a Digital Hub partner with Capgemini and PayPal. The Digital Hub was initiated this year to bring to light how digital technology impacts inclusion and equal opportunity by facilitating access to information for everyone.

In addition, Orange will provide WiFi coverage of the CID for the event through Orange Events Solutions, which specialises in the deployment of customised technologies for events.

Women for ChangeThrough its health and education programs, especially in Africa, the Orange Foundation devotes particular attention to women. This is the second year that the Orange Foundation has joined forces with the Women's Forum and Marie Claire magazine for the Women for Change Award, which recognises humanitarian projects led by women in Africa. The award trains the spotlight on women who have effected change and driven growth, with the goal of enabling them to develop their projects on behalf of women and girls. Five women from Cameroon, Niger, Botswana, Mali and the Democratic Republic of the Congo presented their projects on www.fondationorange.com . From September 15th to October 15th 2014, net users voted for the one they felt was the most important.

At the start of the opening dinner, the woman whose project received the most votes from net users will receive 25,000 euros in aid. Using interactive NFC devices at each table, Women's Forum participants can also vote live during the dinner for a second project, which will receive the same amount of aid. The other three candidates will each receive 5,000 euros in aid to keep their projects going.

equal opportunities, a priority for the Group under Stephane Richard's leadershipThe Women's Forum is an opportunity to repeat that equal opportunities are a core priority for Orange, along the following lines: to promote access to positions of responsibility for women, with the objective of 35% women in the management committees in 2015 compared with 32% today.

to ensure equal pay, in particular by maintaining budgets specifically set up to correct wage gaps should residual discrepancies be detected. In that regard, an analysis of factors influencing equal pay throughout one's career was recently put in place.

to foster more balanced representation of men and women across all job profiles, particularly in the technical fields, where women are under-represented.

to put measures in place to promote work-life balance, most notably by making sure that parenthood is not a source of discrimination either for women or for men.

This year, Mari-Noelle Jego-Laveissiere, Orange Senior Executive Vice President, Innovation, Marketing and Technologies, will participate in the CEO Champions initiative.Launched in 2010 by the Women's Forum, this project brings together business leaders committed to taking practical action to advance the status of women in private sector companies.

Orange, partner of the first international 'Gender and Stem' surveyOrange actively supports the first 'Gender and Stem' survey on the feminization of scientific and technical jobs in the world, the international version of the 'MutationnElles' survey conducted by the Global Contact firm for Orange http://bit.ly/1BoGBuk.

At the Orange corner, all Women's Forum participants will be invited to participate in this first-ever survey, whose results will be published in early 2015.
