Sweden : ERICSSON announces plan for FABRIX SYSTEMS buyout [TendersInfo (India)]


(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) As per the report, Ericsson declared retaining its portfolio into the software space, as per the late last week plans to take over Fabrix Systems.

The cloud storage, computing and network delivery for video applications is being rendered by the Fabrix Systems.

Currently, the plan is utilized in set-top boxes and digital video recorders.

As per Ericsson, contract which was valued at $95 million, would enlarge its television and media portfolio with a cloud-based scale out storage and computing platform focused on providing a simple, tightly integrated solution optimized for media storage, processing and delivery applications such as cloud DVR and video-on-demand expansion, The company added that the move will take advantage of various technologies, including clustered storage, grid computing, virtualization and video processing technologies.
