Russia's Largest Water Supply Company Chooses Cisco Video Conferencing Solution


(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 08 April 2014 Release date- 04042014 - MOSCOW - Cisco today announced the deployment of its video communications solution by JSC Mosvodokanal, which provides water supply and sanitation for more than 15 million residents of Moscow and the Moscow region.



A geographically distributed HD video system based on Cisco hardware was deployed in five months at 33 sites with 65 end-points. As a winner of the contract for the project delivery, I-Teco, a Cisco Gold Certified Partner in Russia, inspected the existing Mosvodokanal communication channels and used the inspection results to design and deploy the video conferencing solution, including: Cisco TelePresence MSE 8000 Series, Cisco TelePresence MCU MSE 8510, connectivity licenses, and Cisco Unified Communication Manager registration server; Cisco EX90, Cisco EX60 and Cisco DX650 desktop terminals, Cisco MX300 and Cisco C40 Integrator Package for meeting rooms.

The new solution enables video telephony for regular weekly conferences under the leadership of general director and operational meetings of water supply and sanitation departments. The system capabilities simplify the interaction of employees in remote locations and improve the quality of communications services while significantly reducing the decision-making times and cutting costs. According to future plans, the Mosvodokanal video conference network will be expanded to connect to new end-points and integrated with existing communication tools such as Microsoft Lync and Cisco VCS Control.
