Verizon expands 4G LTE network in Western Massachusetts and Northern Kentucky


Dec 31, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Verizon Communications Inc., a provider of communications, information and entertainment products and services, has announced that it is expanding its 4G LTE network in Western Massachusetts and Northern Kentucky.



In Western Massachusetts, Verizon Wireless customers in 20 communities will be able to experience the speed and capabilities offered by the 4G LTE network. Existing 4G LTE service in 10 additional Western Massachusetts communities is also being enhanced, the company said.

Additionally, Verizon Wireless customers in more portions of Boone, Kenton and Campbell counties will be able to experience the speed and capabilities offered by the 4G LTE network when the company expands the service tomorrow.


West of Burlington toward the Indiana border; south of Independence including Walton and Crittendon; just south of Claryville along a portion of US Route 27; and along portions of the AA Highway in Kentucky and US Route 52 in Ohio.

"The further expansion of our 4G LTE network will enable customers to use their 4G LTE devices in more parts of Western Massachusetts to stay in touch with family, friends and colleagues, all with speeds up to 10 times faster than before," said Christine Berberich, New England President for Verizon Wireless.
