Mauritania : ACE provides MAURITANIA its first direct connection to a submarine cable [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) France Telecom-Orange has partnered with the other members of the Africa Coast to Europe (ACE) group to launch PHASE I of the submarine cable ACE that links coastal countries. The cable offers access to high-speed Internet to users and boost the capacity of existing global networks. The launch of ACE will provide Mauritania its first time direct connection to a submarine cable, enabling maximum access to world-wide broadband network. Mauritania and twelve other countries will benefit from the project which extends along the coast of West Africa, spread over almost 12,000 kilometers. Based on this new network operators in these countries will now be able to create a line of innovative broadband services, essential to the socio-economic growth of these countries.
