Cyan Executives to Speak at Light Reading Ethernet Europe

Cyan today announced that Rafael Francis, senior director of
service provider solutions at Cyan, will participate on the panel,
"Performance Assured Ethernet" at Light Reading's Ethernet Europe
today, April 17, 2012. Heavy Reading's Stan Hubbard will moderate the
panel, running from 3:55 to 4:40 p.m. CEST, which will also include
executives from Colt, Accedian Networks and InfoVista. Francis will
cover topics of broad planning, management and end-to-end service
verification considerations for delivering performance assured
Ethernet services in today's networks.
This panel echoes last month's Light Reading webinar, which also
involved Light Reading, Cyan, Accedian and Colt. The webinar explored
the critical service and operational requirements for providing
actionable business intelligence for service providers and their end
users while considering the broader planning, management, and
verification factors for delivering performance assured Ethernet
services in today's multi-vendor networks.
On June 20, Cyan will speak again in Europe, at the WDM & Next
Generation Optical Networking conference in Monaco. There, Steve
West, chief technology officer at Cyan, will participate on the
panel, "Packet vs. OTN Debate - Solving the Packet Transport Network
Dilemma: Circuits or Packet Networks." Executives from Huawei, Colt,
Alcatel-Lucent, Deutsche Telekom, and ECI Telecom will join him to
discuss, amongst other topics, network automation from a packet
optical perspective.
