InterDigital and Cinterion Extend Term of Patent License Agreement and Include 4G Coverage

InterDigital (News - Alert), Inc. (NASDAQ: IDCC) today announced that its patent holding subsidiaries have entered into an amendment to their worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-bearing patent license agreement with Cinterion Wireless Modules GmbH ("Cinterion"). The agreement has been amended to add coverage for the 4G technologies LTE and WiMAX (News - Alert)™ and to extend the license term to 2016. The patent license, which previously provided coverage for Machine-to-Machine (M2M) modules and PC Cards, also has been expanded to cover modules for use in certain consumer electronic devices such as personal computers, tablets, and gaming devices.
