'Colt Telecom wins global IP VPN deal from Coperion'(DMeurope Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Colt Telecom has won a contract from Germany-based machine developer Coperion to connect 25 locations globally with its Colt IP VPN service. The offices and plants are located in Europe, North and South America and Asia and will be connected via a VPN based on the MPLS protocol. Individual Coperion locations will also get a ISDN back-up service or a broadband-based back-up service. The network including the back-up services will be implemented by the beginning of 2009. At the same time, Colt deploys Colt LANlink that enables secure connections between applications. No financial details were disclosed.
