Verizon activates new cell site in Massachusetts

Verizon Wireless, a US mobile operator, announced on 10 October that it
has activated a new cell site that will increase high-speed wireless
data coverage and capacity along I-93, Park Street and Concord Street
in North Reading and Wilmington, Massachusetts and the surrounding area.
The company said that new site is part of its continued investment
intended to increase the coverage and capacity of its national network.
It has invested over USD2.2bn in its New England network in total, with
USD100m being invested in new infrastructure and services in the region
in the first six months of 2008.
Verizon Wireless is a joint venture between Verizon Communications Inc
(NYSE: VZ) and Vodafone (NYSE: VOD) (LSE: VOD).
