Verizon Wireless expands wireless network in Plymouth county

Verizon Wireless, a provider of wireless voice and data network and a
joint venture of Verizon Communications (NYSE: VZ) and Vodafone
(NYSE:VOD) (LSE: VOD), announced on Thursday (15 May) that the company
has activated a new cell site in Plymouth county, Massachusetts, USA.
The new site reportedly increases high-speed wireless data coverage and
capacity to the south-eastern part of Plympton, Massachusetts near the
intersection of Brook Street, High Street, and Mayflower Road, as well
as the surrounding area.
Verizon said that the company has invested nearly USD2.2bn in its New
England network to date, including over USD292m in 2007 alone.
